The Conscious Omnivore

I did think of mentioning as Non-vegetarian rather than Omnivore but it kind of gave a unique status to us humans; which is not required. Many humans are Omnivores and that’s it. A vegetarian is an Herbivore and that is fine too.  Ok now to the point. If we as humans feel that we necessarily have to supplement with animal food/products for any reason ( for eg.medical advice ) I suggest below is probably a way to do it right ; which makes us fully conscious humans. Basically the act of consumption needs to be done consciously.( I have not added the taste, cultural practice of eating meat and other aspects as that is outside the purview of this blog ) 1) B efore eating or cooking please start with thanking the food item(Milk; animal meat ,egg, fish etc ) for having spared its life for us. While thanking kindly experience that we are enjoying a major luxury. The luxury is that of having killed(milk is involves killing too);  another living being that could have seen God's sky...

Skipped publishing most of my stuff written coz.  there is enough and more on most subjects on the internet these days . … here is one though that I felt is important to get across This content is about serious risks in the popular health benefiting practice called Yoga. And its not a rare occurrence ...the deleterious impact is being seen more commonly nowadays / (or it could be because I am noticing it more.   ) Note: Breathwork Practice in Yoga is not discussed in this blog . The Next vacation

Most of us long to visit new places ; relish visiting remote lands, exploring and experiencing the different, savouring the change. But it will never be enough. We will keep craving for new experiences. To really appreciate this life and break the monotony( rather shock you out of monotony); it will be worthwhile to visit Hospitals Old Age homes Slaughter houses Animal shelters Sanctuaries for the mentally ill Home for the disabled/blind Orphanages/ refugee Camps Centres for palliative care for the terminally ill Cemeteries/ Burial grounds “ Returns” from these visits; To know that we just got incredibly lucky to be just the way we are To permit any residual Pride to give way to humility To realize that however mighty man is , all can change in a few seconds To those who fear death…..; please know those who wish for death To help open one’s eyes in kindness Realize how much simple words of love and ...
