The Science
For those who will believe only if there is "scientific" evidence......
( btw Science as we know it , I think , is only what has been understood by limited brains with more limited tools available for "proving" and understanding. The rest is so easily moved into the realm of superstition, occult etc ).

Will like to take you along time ; chronologically, from when Protein was a craze, to today's craze behind foods with Antioxidants, Omega 3, DHA ..etc..

Protein was the first nutrient to be discovered and was "Found" to be important for building, repairing and maintaining tissues in the body. Just because of this discovery, many products were marketed with the added tag line that it contains "Protein" . Mothers in particular bought foods with added protein so that their kids would grow faster and healthier. However they did not know that mothers milk that they fed their infants initially had less that one-tenth % of its calorie count from protein. ( An infant grows by 5 kg in just 6 months !! )
Well, the Protein Craze continued feverishly until "Vitamins" were discovered. Vitamin-A was so important for the eyes, B for almost everything . We also have Vits. C, D, E & K . Wondering why they skipped the letters F, G, H ?
"Vit. E" was the elixir of youth and a cure for almost many of the illnesses.
When minerals were found, the 'Elixir crown' shifted . Iron was one of the first to be discoverd and the moment it was found to be an important component of the blood - the craze skyrocketed. Similarly , Calcium & Bone health. The Calcium fever still continues. However am sure it will die soon as unabsorbed calcium from tablets can aggravate heart disease ; as I hear it lands up in some form in the arteries and clogs them. (Chk out the net for more info on this)
However, today at least there is "scientific" evidence that Vitamins/ Minerals can even kill when taken in "excess" from unnatural sources. Do we know how much is this "excess" ? The RDA( recommended daily allowance ) changes from one Scientific Journal to another ; and am sure they change within the same Journal across editions as scientists come out with "findings" like;
- Vitamin A taken more than xxx I.U. affects the absorption of Vitamin E and can lead to serious disorders
- Iron when taken without Copper is not absorbed and leaves toxic residues.
It took some time for our "scientists" to find that Iron alone is no good for making blood. It needs B9, B12 and Vitamin C. ( the RDA for Vit.C I think changes every year. However we are supposed to take comfort from the fact that the surplus is cleaned up by the Kidneys as it is Water soluble !! )
- Cod liver Oil was a fad and I remember consuming the extract without knowing that Vitamin D is also a major component of the capsules and this in excess can cause more harm than good.
- Animal protein leaches calcium out of bones

Today we have faith in the advice ( out of "research" )that we need to consume more raw foods as salads, fruits. Reason given is anti-oxidants - lycopene, polyphenols etc. However I am not comfortable that eating lettuce/greens is right, and would rather rather go by the "See, Smell, Taste - Eat " formula and eat fruits. Also I strongly believe that soon someone will discover that eating these non-appetising vegetables cause more harm than good. Soy is nearly out of the ELIXIR ( even food ) umbrella. I knew it the day i tried to eat it sprouted - "meaning with life". If the tongue cannot salivate at something - am sure those will be toxins to the body.
I seem to have drifted....sorry - now will take an example for distinguishing between FOOD from NATURE and PROCESSED FOOD .
Bananas and Chips vs Bananas ( or you may take Sugarcane vs Sugar )
Food from nature is "Live" ( have a good Aura around them ) --> In scientific parlance, they have all the vitamins & minerals intact. The more you process the foodstuffs ; life is extracted out of them - in other words devoid of the Vitamins/ Minerals.
When we ingest processed food it needs to take its original structure before the body can recognise it as food. In other words , when we consume foods that is devoid of life/ stripped of its original form - the body does not recognise it as natural and tries to bring it back to life( remember aura can be transferred ). Hence a Sugar molecule that has been stripped of say the Vitamins & Minerals A to Z ; has to get back all of that . Our body is more than willing to give it life to make it the original Sugarcane by Aura transfer . That is why when we eat more refined products ; we end up with deficiency disorders. ( Come to think of it - i think it is actually simple - We can store Chips/ Sugar/Bread in a bottle - it will not spoil as it is well and truly dead and plastic. Whereas Bananas/ Sugarcane will start dying as they are very much "Alive" )
Bottom Line: A little of our Cosmic/ Pranic reserve is wasted in compensating for "giving Life" to the lifeless form we ingested so that it can be digested & absorbed. The aura goes out of shape. It does get back to original with some compensatory mechanisms, but then a jolt is well and truly received. For now please try going fruitarian for a meal per day; then change to fruitarian for 2 weeks in a day. Experience the difference in you with these small changes.
Encore: All the money spent on gulping Vitamin/ supplement tablets is money down the drain coz' it is foreign and the body is left more deficient in critical trace elements ( i.e; if it all these do get absorbed )
