Time flies

Last Post dated - Oct 3rd...how time flies. Somewhere in the back of my mind I thought it must around a month since I posted. Can't believe it is three months.
After so much of "Yeh Dil mange more stuff" here goes to write on what I had been planning on the Prana front and good reason too( I got initiated into ISHA in ....in.....Nov ........I think!! )

The Conscious Omnivore

I did think of mentioning as Non-vegetarian rather than Omnivore but it kind of gave a unique status to us humans; which is not required. Many humans are Omnivores and that’s it. A vegetarian is an Herbivore and that is fine too.  Ok now to the point. If we as humans feel that we necessarily have to supplement with animal food/products for any reason ( for eg.medical advice ) I suggest below is probably a way to do it right ; which makes us fully conscious humans. Basically the act of consumption needs to be done consciously.( I have not added the taste, cultural practice of eating meat and other aspects as that is outside the purview of this blog ) 1) B efore eating or cooking please start with thanking the food item(Milk; animal meat ,egg, fish etc ) for having spared its life for us. The Next vacation

Most of us long to visit new places ; relish visiting remote lands, exploring and experiencing the different, savouring the change. But it will never be enough. We will keep craving for new experiences. To really appreciate this life and break the monotony( rather shock you out of monotony); it will be worthwhile to visit Hospitals Old Age homes Slaughter houses Animal shelters Sanctuaries for the mentally ill Home for the disabled/blind Orphanages/ refugee Camps Centres for palliative care for the terminally ill Cemeteries/ Burial grounds “ Returns” from these visits; To know that we just got incredibly lucky to be just the way we are To permit any residual Pride to give way to humility To realize that however mighty man is , all can change in a few seconds To those who fear death…..; please know those who wish for death To help open one’s eyes in kindness Realize how much simple words of love and ...

New to Prana ?

For the uninitiated will begin with an introduction to Prana . Indian languages use this word to convey different meanings. Simply put, it is "Life". I would however be using the word to convey the true meaning - "Cosmic Energy". My sole purpose is to "hope" to communicate to as many, the true meaning of Prana as I have understood it; from short guided learnings from a few professionals and also from personal experiences. Will also suggest a few amateur tips to tap it to derive health and happiness. The fundamental philosophy is that, any form of life/anything living, can be so, only as long as at least a bit of Prana remains in it . The 'measurable' component of this Prana is the 'Aura'.
