Bye to Master

Johnson master(mashu) died of Cardiac arrest – Aug 18.



As a kid had been seeing the name “JOHNSON” under “MUSIC” when the titles of malayalam films run in the beginning. I used to think probably there is no other Music director in Malayalam.


Then got to see him quite frequently in Music shows as a Judge. Seen with a Guitar very often.


I realised quite late that two of my all time favourites “Aakashamaage” and “Anuragini” were his creations .


There was a “Smarananjali” on KAIRALI TV today. Where ONV, Poovachal Kadhar and many of his associates talk about their relationship with him. He seems to be the Ilayaraja of Malayalam Music- bringing in new orchestration unheard till then. I read his Wiki site today …wonderful melodies… he has almost dominated the scene during a period.


These programs have a way of touching the chords in the deep recesses of your heart. There was an ache when I came to know that he has composed so many of my favourites , brilliant creations. The program on Kairali split the injury wide and let the blood flow.


My tearful farewell master……..Regret that I should have known you better & much earlier .

I did think of mentioning as Non-vegetarian rather than Omnivore but it kind of gave a unique status to us humans; which is not required. Many humans are Omnivores and that’s it. A vegetarian is an Herbivore and that is fine too.  Ok now to the point. The Next vacation

Most of us long to visit new places ; relish visiting remote lands, exploring and experiencing the different, savouring the change. But it will never be enough. We will keep craving for new experiences. To really appreciate this life and break the monotony( rather shock you out of monotony); it will be worthwhile to visit Hospitals Old Age homes Slaughter houses Animal shelters Sanctuaries for the mentally ill Home for the disabled/blind Orphanages/ refugee Camps Centres for palliative care for the terminally ill Cemeteries/ Burial grounds “ Returns” from these visits; To know that we just got incredibly lucky to be just the way we are To permit any residual Pride to give way to humility To realize that however mighty man is , all can change in a few seconds To those who fear death…..; please know those who wish for death To help open one’s eyes in kindness Realize how much simple words of love and ...

New to Prana ?

For the uninitiated will begin with an introduction to Prana . Indian languages use this word to convey different meanings. Simply put, it is "Life". I would however be using the word to convey the true meaning - "Cosmic Energy". My sole purpose is to "hope" to communicate to as many, the true meaning of Prana as I have understood it; from short guided learnings from a few professionals and also from personal experiences.
